Thandwe, September 29
The Arakan Army has urged the local population to remain vigilant against the junta’s air, naval, and heavy weapon operations on September 29.
According to the Arakan Army, junta forces have suffered casualties and units are retreating in battles across the Arakan region, including three frontline clashes in border areas.
The Arakan Army also said that troops forcibly recruited by the junta, who have endured harsh and brutal conditions, show no will to fight and are daily fleeing, switching sides, or raising white flags whenever they get the chance on both the front and rear battlefields.
The Arakan Army said that in towns and villages under its control, schools, markets, hospitals, clinics, and monasteries, as well as crowded areas, are increasingly being targeted day and night by the junta’s air, naval, and heavy weapon attacks.
Because of this, the Arakan Army has urged the local population to be more vigilant than before against the junta’s air, naval, and heavy weapon operations and to remain fully alert to military threats at all times.
In towns under Arakan Army control, junta attacks over the past three days have killed three people, including women, and injured up to 26 others.
