Junta attacks on towns under Arakan Army (AA) control over the past three days have left four people, including women, dead and 27 others injured.
Among the dead were a man from Thandwe Township, two women from Paletwa, and one person from Rathedaung Township.
In addition, six people were injured in Thandwe, two in Rathedaung, and 19 in Paletwa.
The deaths and injuries were caused by the junta’s airstrikes, naval attacks, and heavy weapon shelling.
In Paletwa town, under Arakan Army control, a junta airstrike on September 29 killed two women and injured 19 others.
Earlier that morning, in Rathedaung Township, also under Arakan Army control, junta forces stationed in Sittwe fired artillery, killing one civilian and injuring two others.
On September 28, the junta carried out an airstrike near Pade-Kaw village along the road connecting Thandwe and Gwa, while naval warships also launched heavy weapon attacks near Thandwe.
Also, on the night of September 27, a junta airstrike on Thandwe town killed one civilian and injured six others.
Additionally, on September 26, the junta carried out an airstrike on the Kan Paing Ward monastery in Taunggoke town, destroying the monastery building.
Junta airstrikes are being carried out daily in areas under Arakan Army control, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries.
