The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government is calling on individuals and organizations to join hands and actively participate in efforts to alleviate the difficulties faced by the people of Arakan.

The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government has also called for collective participation to help ease and address the daily struggles and needs faced by the people of Arakan.

Since the start of the decisive war in Arakan, the Myanmar junta has blocked and restricted all land and water routes in the region. They have also obstructed and restricted international humanitarian aid organizations from providing assistance.

As a result, the people of Arakan, including internally displaced persons, are facing significant challenges related to food, shelter, healthcare, and security. This has been reported by the people of Arakan themselves.

Although some local civil society organizations are providing assistance to address these challenges, they report facing numerous difficulties on the ground in their efforts to provide support.

“The biggest challenge is the lack of phone and internet connectivity. It’s difficult to communicate and provide timely information to the international community. Additionally, there’s the risk of airstrikes, misunderstandings, and restrictions from local administrative authorities,” a representative of a civil society organization told Border News Agency.

The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government has stated that in the forests and mountains where Myanmar junta troops were stationed for many years, landmines and leftover weapons remain. As a result, local residents who depend on nature for their livelihoods are struggling to survive amidst these dangers.

As a result, these villages are remote and isolated, with poor transportation infrastructure, making it challenging for residents to access medical treatment. This has been highlighted by the people of Arakan.

The people of Arakan are in need of international humanitarian aid to address their basic needs, including food, healthcare, education, transportation, and livelihood opportunities.

International humanitarian aid organizations and civil society groups have emphasized the need for the Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government to ensure accountability and responsibility to facilitate the establishment of offices and the provision of assistance. Additionally, effective communication and collaboration, including access to phone and internet connectivity for members of the government, are considered crucial for these efforts.

A representative from an international humanitarian aid organization stated to Border News Agency, “Organizations that are truly working and taking responsibility should be granted full access to internet services. Some individuals involved in the administration are treating civil society groups unfairly, and this should be carefully considered. Everyone is working in the same dangerous environment for the benefit of the people.”

In areas controlled by the Arakan Army, the Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government is not only managing administrative machinery and carrying out reconstruction efforts but is also opening and operating humanitarian aid and development cooperation offices (HDCOs).

As the head of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Office (HDCO), Twan Morn Naing, the brother of Arakan Army (AA) Commander-in-Chief General Twan Mrat Naing, leads the efforts. He works in collaboration with international humanitarian aid organizations, foreign embassies, and civil society groups.
