The All Arakan Students’ and Youths’ Congress (AASYC) announced today, September 5, that a discussion and briefing session will be held regarding the Arakan State Constitution.

The All Arakan Students’ and Youths’ Congress (AASYC) announced that a discussion and briefing session on the “Arakan State Constitution,” drafted by the Arakan National Policy Coordination Committee (ANPCC), will be held in Mae Sot, Thailand, on September 7.

Media outlets have been informed that they are welcome to attend and cover the event, and they are encouraged to register in advance.

The Arakan National Policy Coordination Committee (ANPCC) was first formed in Mae Sot, Thailand, in January 2018. The committee drafted the proposed Arakan State Constitution in 2022.

The Arakan National Policy Coordination Committee (ANPCC) is said to include Rakhine armed groups, political parties, and civil organizations, but not the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA).

The Arakan Army (AA) has established full control over fifteen townships, including Paletwa Township, and is implementing administrative mechanisms under the governance of the Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government.

The AA also controls the border areas between Arakan and India, Arakan and Bangladesh, as well as the boundary areas with Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady regions. In addition, the AA is providing military support and cooperating with other revolutionary armed groups involved in the Spring Revolution.
