Maungdaw, June 5
On June 4th, national-level Mro ethnic leaders held a meeting and discussion in Maungdaw Township, which is currently under the control of the Arakan Army (AA).
At the meeting, they discussed perspectives on the National Defense Policy, as well as issues related to language, literature, cultural arts, and the socio-economic conditions of the community.
In addition, representatives of the Mro, Thet, and Daingnet ethnic groups also elected a committee of ten members for the Mro, Thet, and Daingnet Ethnic Affairs Committee.
Including those representatives, relevant people from the four townships of Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Ponnakyun, and Kyauktaw also participated.
The discussion was organized and led by the Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government, with over 200 people attending.
