On May 15, today, Myanmar junta launched another airstrike on Kyauktaw town, which is under the control of the Arakan Army (AA), killing seven people and injuring four others.
In Ywar Ma ward of Kyauktaw, two bombs were dropped—one at 2:05 PM and another at 2:10 PM. Then at 2:14 PM, six rounds of artillery were also fired.
In addition, other areas were also targeted and attacked during the assault.
That location was also hit by an airstrike on May 14, just yesterday, and today two more bombs were dropped there again.
On May 14, the junta forces conducted an airstrike on the road west of Shwe Kyaung Monastery in Ywar Ma ward, Kyauktaw town, resulting in the deaths of three civilians and injuries to three others, according to local residents.
Although the Myanmar junta has announced a temporary ceasefire until the end of May, it continues to carry out airstrikes on the Arakan region.
