Fishermen from Shin Taung Village in Myaybon Township said that on July 16, today, they caught a sea turtle that got entangled in their fishing net.

Some villagers said they are preparing to release the sea turtle back into the sea.

Rare species of sea turtles are found in the Arakan Sea, and although conservation efforts had been carried out, they have come to a halt due to ongoing armed conflict, according to reports.
