Ponnagyun, September 19.
A civilian was injured after the Myanmar military junta carried out an airstrike on Phet Kha Village in Ponnagyun Township, which is controlled by the Arakan Army (AA).
The junta reportedly conducted a deliberate airstrike on Phet Kha Village at around 11:30 p.m. on September 17.
As a result of the attack, a man in his 40s, U Aung Myint Naing, was injured.
His house was also set on fire, while agricultural equipment, including a tractor, and stored rice were destroyed in the fire.
Fighting between the Arakan Army and the Myanmar military junta has been intense along the Sittwe–Ponnagyun Township border since September 4.
The junta has therefore been targeting civilians with deliberate airstrikes and artillery attacks.
