Ground sources report that the military junta is reinforcing its forces in Saw Township, Magway Region, with approximately 1,200 troops, military vehicles, artillery trucks, and additional weapons and ammunition.

The reinforcements are being sent to Saw Township via Magway Township.

According to military sources, the convoy is heading toward Laung Shey town and will proceed to Saw town, where additional troops and military supplies are being deployed.

The military convoy reportedly includes jamming vehicles, long-range artillery vehicles, and drone-carrying trucks, along with approximately 1,200 soldiers, according to ground-based military sources.

In the second week of May this year, the military junta launched an offensive into southern Chin State through Saw Township.

Although the junta deployed approximately 3,000 troops in the offensive in the Chin Hills, it has so far been unable to break through the resistance of Chin armed groups.

However, the junta is reinforcing its troops and supplying additional weapons and ammunition in preparation for another offensive during the post-monsoon season.

Meanwhile, Chin armed groups are also reinforcing their forces and reportedly implementing the conscription law, which requires one person from each household to serve in the military, according to residents of the Min Dat area.
