The Central Arakha Writers Association and the Thet Ethnic Literature and Cultural Committee met on September 9 to discuss literary and cultural affairs and future areas of cooperation.
Nearly 20 officials and representatives attended the meeting. The discussions focused primarily on efforts to rediscover, preserve, and promote the literature, culture, and historical heritage of the Thet people, which are at risk of disappearing.
During the meeting, the chairperson of the Arakha Writers Association said that under the current revolutionary government, communities have gained greater opportunities to document and promote their literature and history. The association therefore expressed its willingness to feature the culture and arts of the Thet people in Arakha Thwe Chin Journal, a publication produced by the association.
Representatives of the Thet Literature and Cultural Committee said that Thet communities have participated in the Arakha revolutionary movement since ancient times. They also expressed their intention to work closely with the Writers Association to further develop and promote literature and the arts.
