Gwa, September 11.
A civilian was killed and another was injured when the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike on Kyane Tali Town in Gwa Township, an area controlled by the Arakan Army (AA).
At around 9:30 p.m. on September 10, the Myanmar military reportedly carried out an airstrike on Kyintali Town, dropping two bombs on the town.
As a result of the attack, 81-year-old U Oo Kyaw Khaing from Ward No. 1 in Kyane Tali was killed. 49-year-old U Chit San Maung from Ward No. 2 was injured by bomb shrapnel.
The Myanmar military has been carrying out airstrikes and artillery attacks on areas where civilians live in territories controlled by the Arakan Army. These attacks have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
The Arakan Army has again warned civilians to remain alert to the dangers of air and naval attacks by the Myanmar military.
