The Arakkha Army (AA) has reported that it seized weapons and ammunition, military equipment, several bodies, and some military personnel captured as prisoners of war during clashes in the area along the border between Sittwe and Ponnagyun townships.

The AA stated that the junta forces suffered casualties and deaths during the fighting, while some junta soldiers were also captured as prisoners of war.

The AA also said that it would continue to release further information about additional weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and bodies seized from junta forces.

Fighting has continued in the Sittwe–Ponnagyun border area amid ongoing military tensions between the two sides.
