One civilian was injured after the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike on Aizanapura, a town under the control of the Arakan Army (AA).
At around midnight on September 27, the Myanmar military attacked the Old Market Ward in Aizanapura with ten drone-dropped bombs.
As a result of the attack, a 50-year-old man, U Khin Maung, was injured by shrapnel to his arms, legs, and body. Several houses were also damaged.
On September 25, an airstrike by the Myanmar military in Kyauktaw Township also injured seven civilians, including five Muslims.
Fighting between the Arakan Army and the Myanmar military has been intense along the Sittwe–Ponnagyun Township border since September 4.
As fighting continues, the Myanmar military has reportedly carried out daily air and artillery attacks on towns controlled by the Arakan Army in recent days. Local sources say these attacks have caused civilian deaths and injuries.
