Mrauk-U, September 15.
The Refugee Committee of the Arakha People’s Revolutionary Government provided one month of basic food supplies on September 15 to 310 displaced people from 95 households in five townships of Mrauk-U District.
The aid was delivered by a joint team from the DLEPS Department, the political party, the administration, HDCO, and women’s groups.
Each household received rice, one liter of cooking oil, and one viss of salt as a one-month food supply.
A large number of people have been displaced from their homes by the conflict in the Arakha region. They are in urgent need of food, medicine, and other basic assistance to survive each day.
The Refugee Committee said it is also continuing to provide food assistance to displaced people in other townships across the Arakha region.
