The Arakha Public Health Department provided free medical treatment to more than 590 people from three villages experiencing outbreaks of fever and two displacement camps in Sittwe District.

The mobile medical services were conducted for five days, from August 17 to 21. In addition to medical treatment, the team also carried out health education activities.

The Arakha Public Health Department is also providing free mobile medical services to local residents in towns and villages across other districts in the Arakha region, including Sittwe District.

The mobile medical teams provide free treatment for patients suffering from general fever-related illnesses, eye conditions requiring surgery, and dental problems.

The department also reportedly provides vaccinations, maternal and child healthcare, and disease prevention and control services.
