The Arakha Writers’ Association (Central) and the Khami Literary Affairs Committee held a meeting and discussion in Arakha on August 27.

Officials from both the Arakha Writers’ Association (Central) and the Khami Literary Affairs Committee attended the meeting.

A member of the Khami Literary Affairs Committee said that the committee would work to promote and preserve the literary and cultural heritage of the Khami people and continue collaborating with the Arakha Writers’ Association.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Arakha Writers’ Association (Central) said that there is now an opportunity to explore and document the literature, traditional culture, and history of the ethnic communities living in Arakha.

The participants also emphasized that they would like to include stories and issues concerning local ethnic communities in the Arakha Thwe Chin Journal, which is currently being published.

Those attending the meeting exchanged views and discussed areas of future cooperation between the two sides.
