Dr. Yunus was involved in the discussions and met with the Prime Minister. After that meeting, he said that 180,000 Rohingyas would be returned to Myanmar. We don’t fully understand these decisions, and we are still trying to understand what is really happening.
We are ready to return only if they guarantee our safety, security, and give back our property, our homes, our land, our belongings, even our cars. But they haven’t even given those things to the Rohingyas who are already inside Myanmar. So how can we believe they will give them to us if we go now?
If the UN can provide us with real protection and guarantees, then we will consider returning.
